What would make us even more successful?

NLC is looking for a Desktop Support Specialist with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. This is a full-time onsite position. As we have several locations throughout the Midwest, this role may require occasional travel within the Chicagoland area, as well as to our locations in Tennessee, Arkansas and New York for onsite troubleshooting of issues and set up of new hardware.

We are already unparalleled in the solutions that we offer to our customers, but we know the other half of our success is acquiring the best employees to deliver those solutions. We are looking for those with the abilities to multi-task, problem-solve, proactively answer the “How-to” questions and work collaboratively with the NLC team. Outstanding listening and communication skills are a must, because it is imperative that our staff get the best service we have to offer.

Individual Responsibilities

  • Delighting staff members with quality service IT support
  • Committed to providing excellent customer service
  • Manage expectations of staff
  • Respond to email, phone and chat support requests from staff members, along with onsite visits through in person and remote support
  • Resolve customer issues as quickly as possible to minimize downtime

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience providing support to end users and IT infrastructure
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree completed in a computer technology related program or certifications a plus
  • Ability to work in both a team environment as well as individually on issues and projects
  • A desire to continually learn new technologies and improve their skill set
  • Assertiveness in pursuing resolutions to issues
  • Must have strong problem solving and organization skills
  • Strong verbal, written, telephone and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Must be able to manage multiple items at one time with a high sense of urgency
  • Experience and familiarity with the following: Microsoft Office Suites (Including Microsoft 365), Microsoft Windows desktop and server systems as well as Active Directory
  • Experience with Android and mobile devices a plus
  • Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, subnetting, etc.) and remote access technologies (VPN, terminal services, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
